Location: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

Architect: Romera y Ruiz Arquitectos.

In the past, water levels were used to verify the verticality of buildings. The city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, influenced by the sea, has a unique architectural design based on the physical nature of water. The renovation of an old gas station provides an opportunity to activate a rehabilitation project that promotes integration with nature. The project is based on the principles of organic architecture, which emphasizes formal and material traditions inherited from ancestors. The aim is to create a discreet and complete intervention that integrates with the surrounding landscape.
