The new winery was designed to produce high-quality white wines while also incorporating a wine tourism program and an attractive image that aligns with the character of the wines produced. The winery was integrated with the landscape and vineyard through various strategies, such as choosing a high point for the location, burying the building to reduce visual impact, and using a small range of materials for the facade. The production area was designed as a single unit revolving around a central nucleus, with the laboratory, cask room, and tasting room surrounding it. The winery was constructed using sustainable practices, such as generating heat through a biomass boiler, saving rainwater for cisterns and watering gardens, and reutilizing used water for the watering of the vineyards. The design also incorporated passive solar protection, natural illumination, and LED lighting regulated by photoelectric sensors. Overall, the winery was designed to provide a unique and memorable experience for visitors while producing high-quality wines in a sustainable manner.
