NUBO, a new learning center for kids in Chatswood, Sydney, aims to provide a stress-free and multi-functional environment that stimulates children’s creativity. The center has opened up the interiors to recreate an outdoor playground inside and has created a village-like communal space for children under its open-up exposed ceiling. The center has a cafe area that mimics a market with food stalls, and a two-storey treehouse that defies spatial limitations. The room for arts and crafts comes with a clean curved wall like canvas on one side to hang up the masterpieces, and on the other, a transparent window to eliminate boundaries. The drama room has a mini-stage with a blue-lit backdrop, and the sensory room is filled with water, sand, and light with individual magic boxes installed at various corners of the room. The center assures parents that they can leave their worries behind and encourage their kids to dream big and reach up to the clouds.
