The lack of sex education in China has made it a taboo topic, but a year ago, a design team was tasked with creating a sexual culture museum in Pengzu Mountain. The museum focuses on Peng Zu’s research on chamber technique and related education and popular science. The designer, Ying Zhang, who graduated from Harvard, aimed to create a museum that would popularize sex culture education and life education to people through artistic expression. The design team extracted the stretching, zigzagging and undulating relations in the body into the space, and evolved a unique and distinctive three-dimensional curved wall with aesthetic feeling just like sculpture. The curve in the human body is the source of life and the inspiration of the whole space composition. The museum is designed to be a place where people can learn about sex culture without feeling ashamed or avoiding it.
