Sanbao Art Museum is located in Sanbao village, China, which is known for its porcelain art. The museum was designed to create an interactive space that encourages reciprocal communication between visitors and the space, both emotionally and behaviorally. The museum is visually linear, 150 meters long, but the visiting flow is nonlinear, allowing visitors to have multiple choices to go. The purpose is to boost serendipities between people and spaces. The walls are made of rammed earth, which offers a poetic feeling. The main passage is a long transparent space, 100 meters, around it are rammed-earth walls, 4 meters high, grow from earth. The museum provides multiple choices, allowing visitors to go up and down, feel the delight stream or peaceful pond, enjoy the exhibition or relax in the corner. Different choices bring various experiences, which is an enriched relationship between porcelain designers and their creation. The museum was designed to create an ambiguous relationship between visitors and the space. The materials used in the museum, such as rammed earth, titanium zinc panels, and travertine, will be eroded by time, giving it a unique flavor. The museum was designed to offer the feeling of the sound of a cello played by an elegant lady. The museum is a testament to the passion and dreams of porcelain artists who have migrated to Sanbao village to inherit the tradition of porcelain art.
