LEO digital network, a top digital agency in China, has recently undergone a restructuring and enlisted the help of design studio LLLab to create a new office space in Shanghai. The design concept focuses on transparency, materiality, and a creative atmosphere. Clear glass is used to separate meeting spaces and offices, allowing natural light to flow throughout the space. Raw materials such as reflective concrete and solid wood are used to create a tone that reflects the creation process of ideas. The space is designed to be open and communicative, with shared areas between teams and furniture arrangements that encourage idea exchange. The design process was intentionally challenging, with designers, construction workers, and end-users working together to optimize functional and aesthetic desires. The construction site served as an experimental workshop, with designers and constructors conducting tests on materials, finishings, and lighting. The whole design and construction process took less than three months before employees moved in. The result is a refreshing new image for LEO digital network, taking the company culture to a new level and redefining the stereotypically imagined work space in China.
