Location: Feurs, France.

Architect: Aurélien Aumond.

The architects of the movie theater in Feurs aimed to create a space that would enhance the experience of going to the movies. They designed a dark, concrete monolith that follows the natural curve of the terrain and opens up at the bottom with large windows. The building’s form and materiality are meant to intrigue and invite visitors to enter and discover what lies inside. The goal was to create a space that would sublimate the experience of going to the movies, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy the show.
