The project is located in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, and is intended to display the local cultural and regional characteristics of Yunnan. The landscaping expresses the elements of the province’s mountains, terraces, roofs and wood structures, integrated the architecture, interior and landscape with land art techniques, and melted human activities into them. The designers hope to seize the theme of the local culture while not indulging in the traditional simple reproduction.

The technique of land art is used to present the mountains, terraces and eaves of Yunnan as the overall form of the architectural landscape. The architecture is integrated into the textures of terraces, blending the water and land together, and the landscape form, building facades and roof skylines are integrated, reminding people of the situation where village house roofs echo with distant mountains in Yunnan. The experience dynamic line from the external environment to the architecture and the interior of houses is designed to create a kind of oriental peach garden of cultural ideal space. The design has also given full consideration to the relationship between the project and the urban external environment, with the water surface arrangement handling the relationship of space opening and people separation. Materials are important carriers and mean to express local regional culture, and the landscape materials are selected mainly on the basis of local wood, stones and tiles.
