The Ocean Winery O’33 is an architectural project that focuses on three fundamental pillars: gravity, the productive space, and the architecture. The natural process of wine production has led the project team to recapture gravity as the natural and primal law of wine elaboration. The layout of production spaces in different levels allows for the transportation of wort or wine through natural processes without using mechanical means, resulting in a high-quality product. The productive space is the result of the general concept, both in terms of function and observation and interpretation of the productive process. The project team has prioritized the productive space, making it the source of inspiration. The spectator is located at the center of the space, providing a 360º vision of the landscape, production, and artistic narrative, similar to a cyclorama. The architecture of the Ocean Winery O’33 is unique, with a truncated cone shape lightened by Corten steel roof tiles, almost like a sculpture. The small inserts and details that the spectator discovers as they move around the space reflect an architecture that seeks to provide an end product with a strong character and unrepeatable sense of identity. Overall, the Ocean Winery O’33 is a project that combines the natural process of wine production with a unique and inspiring architectural design. The focus on gravity, the productive space, and the architecture has resulted in a space that not only produces high-quality wine but also provides a memorable experience for the spectator.
