Location: Kaş, Antalya, Turkey.

Architect: MeMALoNDoN Limited.

The project is not about escaping urban life for rural life, but rather about creating a co-living space that combines Mediterranean life with urban living. The aim is to create a self-supporting network that incorporates prefabrication and industrial production. The demand for architecture in the area is decreasing, so the project strives to use social media and appearance to attract attention. The project is a collaboration with GENEDOS, a cooperative that was looking for a master plan. The settlement is divided into three parts, with a star and an aisle connecting the two separated parts. The third part is reserved for future extensions and projected as a cultivation area. The program includes a seed building, administrative unit, accommodations, storage, temporary accommodations, and a camping site. The seed building will be built first to finance the construction of the other buildings. The rules state that buildings within the agricultural zone can have a maximum footprint of 75m2 and a maximum gross floor area of 150m2. The main buildings will be built on-site with local resources, while temporary accommodations will be fabricated in any workshop. The architect is a genuine partner in the process, sympathizing with others for the labor pain and presenting common views for the common dream. MeMA is one of the architectural leaders of the GENEDOS initiative, designing a living space and building the future together.
