Location: Mohali, India.

Architect: Aman Aggarwal (Charged Voids).

The project is an office building located in Mohali, Punjab, a satellite town of Chandigarh. The site is on a central sector road facing a busy commercial hub and has an area of 140 sq. m. with a built-up area of 190 sq. m. The brief was to design an office for a builder that reflects both their execution skills and the design philosophies of the practice. The concept was to design a closed box with careful gaps looking into the street and using the courtyard as a buffer between the exterior and interior. The primary requirements were a small reception, a large office with an attached meeting room on the ground level, a workspace for the accounts team, and a second office on the second level. The planning was done with a clear thought of spaces flowing into one another along with a large central volume. The material palette is limited to white marble, Sivakasi gold granite, and simple white painted surfaces.
