Imagining a new Ajman The Ajman Cultural District is where tradition and modernity, culture and sustainability, and the past and present, collide. As a number of architectural initiatives to transform the city of Ajman have been revealed, a stroll through the city will soon become a voyage through a portion of Islamic history and culture. As the emirate’s cityscape, community spaces, connection, and social cohesion integrate into a harmonic whole, for the benefit of inhabitants, visitors, and tourists, the project by Dubai-based design company Verform seeks to unlock the door to buried heritage. Routes with courtyards, an urban fabric, and open spaces inspired by culture will connect the ancient shoreline to a mosque and museum via winding streets drenched in history and tradition.
