This project is about the ATAKULE’s resurrection, a tower that was named after the founder and first president of the Republic, Atatürk. To revive the tower, interior and exterior spaces were designed to reclaim past allure, and vehicle access was redesigned. The roof terrace was arranged for social and cultural events, and an interior street was designed for seamless vehicle access around the tower. Sidewalks were custom-designed, and the outer shell was designed as the ‘media façade’. Atakule was re-inaugurated on October 29, 2018 on the day of celebrations commemorating the anniversary of the foundation of the Republic.
