Betek A.Ş has chosen a 12-floor building on the E-5 highway in Istanbul Maltepe as its new headquarters. The building has different functions, including an entrance floor, recreation floor, meeting floor, and two executive floors, in addition to working floors. The six working floors have similar plan solutions but are distinguished from each other by different colours based on the company departments they belong to. The first floor is reserved for meetings, while the -1 floor has areas for the kitchen, cafeteria, sitting, recreation, and entertainment. The entertainment house is designed like a wooden box with a “space within space” concept and features billiards, PlayStation, air hockey, and a library to increase employees’ energy and motivation. The entrance floor has high prestige value and features a 3.5-meter high African elephant sculpture made by artist Ozan Ünal. The sculpture is made of circular iron and metal and is illuminated. The floor also has a 20-meter long acrylic amphi for collective events, with a remotely controlled curtain designed as an architectural divider element. The owner of the company has a section on the eighth floor with a fireplace, a bathroom, and working areas, which can be reached by a bridge over the water. The pool’s insulation was done using the company’s products.
