Location: Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France.
Architect: Bechu + Associés.
The project involves the redevelopment of the Saint-Germain-en-Laye hospital district into a new place of life for all generations of the city and its international visitors. The design is urban, architectural, and programmatic, with a focus on respecting the fabric, scale, and DNA of the city while revealing its heritage. The result is a 100% pedestrian district organized around big and little squares, with newly created streets that encourage loops and meetings through a nature in the city now very present.
