The Cor Jesu is an oratory for the Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu, a campus of 3000 students from early education to senior high school. It consists of two buildings, the main one which is a 360-seat oratory and the minor building which consists of a recollection space, an office, and other support spaces. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by an undulating ceiling and a transition space with a dapple effect. The form of the oratory reflects the undulation of the roof and the modernity of the lines and composition, as well as the use of materials such as concrete and steel. The site at the rear offers existing mango trees and privacy, while the other side offers full transparency of glass connecting the landscape and the trees.
