The Xishan Villa project is a mixed-use development located on a narrow plot between a public road and a small hill in a mountainous area east of Dalian downtown. The project includes residential towers, retail units, SOHO, and a sales center. The design features a composition of two lines of towers that come together in the middle, creating a transparent structure that allows sunlight to penetrate the core of the area. The public and private functions are functionally separated but connected through the use of similar forms and materials. The facade designs are compositions of horizontal lines and vertical elements, with the exception of the center building, which emphasizes the entrance road. The project aims to create a balanced volume and provide a human scale to the area. The design also includes a roof garden that connects the public and private spaces in two levels. The overall aesthetic is based on clear and strong forms with contrasts and harmony, using natural stone, brickwork, plaster, and glass as the main materials. The project is part of a larger development that includes townhouses and villas on a higher level on the south side. The goal of the project is to create a mixed-use center near the wetland recreation park that is connected to the surrounding area and provides a relaxed living environment.
