The ECGC Office Building is a modern and iconic structure that breaks away from the stereotypical image of dull government buildings in India. The project consists of a commercial office for 250-300 people with a residential facility. The aim was to create an ultramodern building that incorporates socio-economic needs with a futuristic approach, while also being environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. The project site is located in a busy suburb and incorporates natural flows, such as old trees, public plazas, central courtyards, and water bodies. The complex also includes an ultra-modern club with facilities like a gymnasium and indoor games. The skylight feature provides natural light inside the offices, while the intelligent facade glass resists heat. The terrace gardens keep the environment more oxygenated. The design caters to visual connectivity of green spaces flowing through the commercial to the residential sector. Ultimately, the project design brings benefit to the end users along with creating unique spatial experiences and an iconic structure that will leave a mark in the field of architecture.
