Location: Plaisance-du-Touch, France.

Architect: PPA architectures.

The project aims to create a new urban center in Plaisance du Touch, located in the western part of Toulouse, about 15 kilometers from the city center. The existing mix of programs, including a cinema, gymnasium, and youth center, will be expanded to include a performance hall, event space, association offices, and a café-restaurant. The project seeks to renew the identity of the area by integrating the new programs with the existing context, using materials that respond to the local climate and conditions. The central space of the project, the plaza, functions as a village square, connecting and organizing the various programs. The mix of programs and uses allows for a flexible and efficient building that can accommodate a diverse range of activities and events. The project prioritizes the quality of user experience and encourages social interaction and community engagement. The result is a contemporary space that reflects the vitality and energy of the surrounding peri-urban area.
