Location: Huizhou, Guangdong Province, China.
Architect: FCHA.
This project can be found in Huizhou City’s Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone, a 10-minute drive from Huizhou South Railway Station and an hour’s drive from Shenzhen’s downtown. In order to account for the sales centre at the project’s outset and establish a “5+2” dual-city living parent-child community, the project intends to use the proposed kindergarten facility.
Children’s artwork frequently depicts the idea of home as a pentagonal house. The project name, which means Maple forest tree, and the idea of “home” which is the most private concept for children, are combined in the design. The idea of a “home under the tree” has the effect of an imaginative artistic vision, generating a vivid interior space and, over time, a distinctive image of a kindergarten.
