InnoCell is a pilot project located in Hong Kong Science Park that uses Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) to provide a minimum of 500-bed spaces with supporting ancillary facilities. The project aims to shorten the construction programme, improve the quality of the fit-out, reduce reworking and wastage, and resolve construction problems in advance. InnoCell promotes the concept of “Co-working & Co-living” to inspire interactions, collaboration, smart living and innovations within the community. The use of this concept encourages residents to step out from traditional habitation units and to “Live Outside the Box”, contributing to the creation of an innovative community by sharing spaces and facilities for a more convenient and smarter lifestyle together. Communal areas located at different levels are creatively designed for usage flexibility to foster a “live and share” residence community.
