The Grand Musée du parfum is a new cultural institution in a mansion on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré that offers an interactive journey and innovative scenography. It retraces the history of perfumes from the Egypt of the pharaohs to the present day, and invites visitors to discover a unique olfactory collection made up of more than 70 smells. Designing the scenography of the perfume museum is an original experience, as it brings together a sum of unique experiences, some of which were designed and formalized ex-nihilo. It also offers the opportunity to invite other designers to complete the course. The staging of the perfume goes through a polycephalic mediation, orchestrating a series of convocations of meaning.
The “garden of scents” designed exclusively for the Perfume Museum has an unusual character, inviting visitors to create their own journey. The cavities diffuse odors and preserve visions and sounds. The staging borrows a permanent game with the notion of reflection, questioning the notion of identity in the intimate relationship between a person and their perfume.
