The “Plongeoir” is an innovative and dynamic architectural design by Spray architecture, located in eastern France. This 14m2 hut is an oblique structure that changes the way we live and use space. The design is based on Claude Parent’s theories of the oblique, and the construction meets simple needs such as shelter, relaxation, and contemplation. The “Plongeoir” is a piloti house that touches the ground, reducing its support points to a minimum and respecting the environment. The main materials used are wood and polycarbonate, which emphasize openness to the outside. The transparent polycarbonate lets the sunshine in and creates optical games with the landscape. The “Plongeoir” is also a place of ownership and free expression that becomes a canvas for everyone. The architecture becomes Graffitecture, which is an architecture that integrates art into its design. Different artists were guests to invest the “Plongeoir” and create a real dynamic of the project. The Graffitecture seeks to introduce the concept of participation in the scene, where people can mark the building and offer a new look, color, and function to the architecture.
