Location: Bordeaux, France.
Architect: Pierre-Antoine compain.
Pierre Antoine Compain, an architect/designer/scenographer, designed a dining and resting space for students and employees at the IDAE training center in Bordeaux. The furniture and structures were made by students in the Decorator/Merchandiser/Scenographer program. The space is meant to represent a theater stage, where visitors can be both actors and spectators while dining. The background graphic is a contemporary illustration of the Palazzo Moroni in Padua, Italy, designed by Compain. A rectangular window in the background allows visitors to frame their view and appreciate the perspective of the stage. This installation combines elements of theatrical scenography, architecture, and graphic composition, and explores the relationship between interior design and theater.
