Shimao Loong Palace in Beijing was inspired by the Ming Dynasty painter Qiu Ying’s Fairyland of Peach Blossoms landscape painting. The garden area covers 17,000 square meters and is located in the northwest of Haidian District, along the south bank of Shangzhuang Reservoir. The design of the palace combines classical natural landscape gardens with classical royal gardens, following the vein of classical gardens. The design concepts of the royal garden and southern gardens were used to create the palace.
