With the opening of the MAP Museum of Art & Photography, housed in a cutting-edge facility in South India’s capital city of Bangalore, in February 2023, one of India’s outstanding collections of South Asian art will be made public.

Bangalore-based architects Mathew & Ghosh created MAP’s iconic 4,089 square metre building, which houses five galleries, a cafĂ©, a rooftop restaurant with panoramic city views, a 130-seat auditorium, a library with extensive research materials on Indian art and culture that are freely accessible to students and researchers, and a conservation centre for the preservation, maintenance, and upkeep of artwork.
