The Museum of Contemporary Art and Planning Exhibition (MOCAPE) is a modern information center that integrates innovative construction concepts and environmental building systems. It serves as an urban attractor and dynamic element in the Futian Cultural Center of Shenzhen. MOCAPE is designed to be a unified whole, but the Museum of Contemporary Art and Planning Exhibition are articulated in their own unique ways. The distribution of the different functional elements forms distinctive external and internal public spaces. MOCAPE is integrated into the language of the previously deployed master plan while simultaneously establishing itself as an animated addition to the new urban fabric. It serves as the final piece in Shenzhen’s urban puzzle.
