Moscow State University, founded 260 years ago, is one of the most iconic buildings in Russia. The university is currently undergoing a new stage of development, expanding its territory to create a science and technology valley. The development concept involves extending the university’s axis to the Park of the 50th Anniversary of October, with the campus and residential quarters framing the axis. However, there are still issues to be addressed, such as illegal garage and warehouse facilities, illegal landfills, lack of green spaces, and transportation connectivity. The project aims to create a new local city center with a science and technology valley as the anchor facility, develop the historical urban axis, create a network of landscaped areas, and provide pedestrian and transportation connectivity. The new campus of the Moscow State University will become a center of research and education, integrated into the urban fabric and providing convenience and comfort for everyday life. The project aligns with the city’s overall development strategy for economic growth, improved transport links, and new public spaces.
