Sakura is a new residential building in Prague that offers stunning views of the city from its 64 units and three rooftop villas. The apartments range in size from 37m² to 260m² and are designed to give residents the sense of living in a family house complete with a garden, while maintaining the benefits of urban living. The building is surrounded by greenery, with planters lining the perimeter of the houses on all floors and a large roof garden with mature trees crowning the top of the apartments. The exterior is characterized by natural shades exposed through wooden window frames, thermo pine on horizontal surfaces, and graphite on metal rails, complete with golden metal sheets. The building is named after the Japanese cherry tree blossom, with cherry trees a prominent feature throughout the project. Sakura is a project of the future, with measures in place to help maintain a high standard of living, including the preparation for the concurrent operation of 30 charging stations for electric automobiles. It will be one of the first residences in the country to provide all of its inhabitants with the opportunity to drive ecologically on electricity.
