The SAP Vienna office has been strategically designed to create a healthier working environment for employees. The design incorporates natural elements, such as plants, to create a “Central Park” within the office space. This park offers a variety of amenities, including lounges, kitchen areas, coffee bars, and meeting rooms, and encourages collaboration among employees. The design also includes focus rooms for manageable group conversations and communal spaces, such as a cafeteria and a room dedicated to the office’s Viennese context, to promote conversation and interaction.

The design of the office incorporates biophilic interventions, such as the use of wood, water, and a variety of plant species, to create a relaxing atmosphere. The use of glass walls that transform colors and varying carpet tile pile heights provide unexpected tactile sensations on the ground. The design also includes sound-absorbing ceilings and floors, which combine with the floorplan layout to create a quieter working environment. The winding pathways and outdoor furniture complete the feeling of being outdoors.
