The Pierre Soulage Museum in Rodez, France, opened in 2014 and showcases the works of abstract artist Pierre Soulage. The collection includes stained glass windows, preparatory works, figurative paintings, printed works, and more. The building was designed by Passelac et Roques Architects and is made entirely of Cor-Ten steel, merging with the landscape and changing over time. The museum also includes a document center, temporary exhibition space, children’s workshops, and storage spaces. The building and landscape have a mutual feedback, displaying a wealth of relationships that cannot be removed.
