Ningbo is a harbor city located in the southeastern coast of China, close to the Zhoushan Islands in the east and the Hangzhou Bay in the north. Yinzhou New Area is a political, commercial, residential, technology, and education center in Ningbo. The Project is located in the intersection of the Jiangdong District and the Yinzhou District, which is a developing community mainly based on residence life. The design team has created a flexible flowing space that will become a landmark design with soul upon diversified arranged activities. The communication space enables people to return to the human-oriented social demands. The design team has strictly handled the details of hard landscape and soft planting, and the plants, water, black mirror, lamplight, and shadow are communicated with each other and closely interconnected to exude a sense of peace, which may be the soul of the minimalist design. Each space has been endowed with different functional significances, and the variability of community living room, all-age runway, children’s playground, sports field, sites of landscape and leisure and other spaces has enabled the rich and colorful functions and the splendid community life. The landscape plants are returned to the natural ecology. The plants are collocated in the seasonal color and in a great variety. The Chinese tallow trees and camphor trees complement each other. The landscape varies with movement, and the illusion and reality are alternated to pursue “one step, one view”.
