ZilArt Park, located in one of Moscow’s central districts, is a 10-hectare public space that was once home to old factory workshops of the Likhachev plant. The LSR Group oversaw the redevelopment process, resulting in a green forest with original landscape architecture. The park was designed by the New York Bureau MELK! under the guidance of urbanist Jerry Van Eyck, with the central art object being a 1.3-km long pergola structure made of rusty corten and sectional materials, reminiscent of the factory conveyor. The pergola includes concession stands and restrooms that blend seamlessly into the landscape. The park features 4000 mature trees and shrubs, 97 flower gardens, and an artificial pond of 3100 sq. m. It also includes playgrounds for volleyball, basketball, tennis, a sports field with exercise equipment, and a 1500 sq. m playground.
